Citco group of companies, an asset servicer to the alternative investment sector, has moved its Tokyo office — a larger location the firm says reflects the continued growth in both headcount and business at Citco Japan since its launch in November 2024.
Citco Japan's new office is located in the heart of Tokyo's business district and provides investment accounting and operations, as well as Special Purpose Company (SPC) administration services to alternative asset managers in the region.
Looking ahead, Citco is focused on further broadening its service offering in Japan to include fund accounting and fund operations, enabling clients and prospects to benefit from a more integrated, scalable, and future-ready operating model that combines local market nuances with the strength and consistency of Citco’s global platform.
Ken Shimamura, head of Client Servicing, Citco Japan says: “This move marks an important milestone for Citco in Japan. As we welcome new colleagues to the team, our new office gives us the space we need to continue supporting our clients across the region and to build on the momentum since our launch in 2024.
“Japan remains a key part of our Asia Pacific growth strategy. The continued expansion of our Tokyo team reflects our long-term commitment to supporting alternative asset managers with both inbound and outbound investment activity in the region.”
