The General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA) has renewed its mandate with Northern Trust, extending a long-standing relationship which began in 2012.

GPSSA is the United Arab Emirates (UAE) federal authority responsible for managing pensions and social security for Emirati employees across the federal government and private sector.

As a state pension fund, GPSSA is focused on delivering long?term financial protection and retirement benefits for its members.

The firm says that the goal within the asset owner segment is to empower the missions of its clients, helping them to maximise investment returns so that they may serve their constituents, their communities, and the world.

Kashif Khalid, head of Middle East and Africa at Northern Trust, says: “Northern Trust is delighted to continue our relationship with GPSSA. We have a deep heritage serving asset owners across the globe and our established relationship with GPSSA reflects how we continue to evolve alongside our clients, and underscores our commitment to the retirement sector.

“We are focused on developing strategic collaborations with this important client segment, reflecting our ability to anticipate evolving needs, and deliver tailored, scalable solutions focused on client outcomes while supporting their important stakeholders, in this case the Emirati population.”
