Pictet Asset Management has appointed Alfred Le Léon as head of ETF distribution, EMEA; a newly created role following the recent launch of the firm’s first ETFs in the European market.
Le Léon joins Pictet Asset Management from J.P. Morgan, where he spent almost eight years as head of ETF distribution for France, Benelux, and French-speaking Switzerland.
He began his career in 2010 as an ETF specialist at HSBC and Deutsche Bank, and holds an MSc in Economics and International Finance from the University of Bordeaux.
Le Léon will report to Malick Badjie, global co-head of sales, and will have a strong focus on supporting clients across EMEA, says the firm.
Speaking on the appointment, Badjie says: “We are delighted to welcome Alfred at an exciting time for our ETF business in Europe. Alfred brings more than 15 years of ETF distribution experience and a proven track record of building ETF businesses across European markets.
“His expertise will be instrumental in accelerating the growth of our ETF franchise and broadening access to our AI Enhanced Equity Index Active ETFs to investors.”
