Waystone, a provider of specialist services to the global asset management industry, has announced a series of leadership enhancements across its Continental Europe business.
The appointments, the firm says, follow a period of significant growth for Waystone in Luxembourg, including the acquisition of BIL Manage Invest in October 2025 and the integration of the Allfunds management company businesses in 2026.
Denis Harty continues as country head of Continental Europe, retaining overall leadership responsibility for Waystone's business across the region, including oversight of the Luxembourg franchise.
Alexandra Serban-Liebsch has been appointed CEO of Waystone Management Company (Lux).
Serban-Liebsch has been with Waystone for more than a decade and has held a number of senior leadership roles across the business, most recently serving as head of Operations.
Alain Bastin has been appointed deputy country head, Luxembourg.
Bastin was formerly CEO of BIL Manage invest and led the integration of the firm into Waystone.
He has assumed leadership responsibilities across Waystone entities in Luxembourg and Switzerland.
He will also undertake board mandates and chair several internal committees, while serving as a key member of the Continental Europe leadership team, which Waystone says, further strengthens the group's governance and leadership framework across the region.
John Grosso has been appointed head of Luxembourg Administration Service (LAS) — Product starting from 1 October 2026.
Grosso brings extensive international fund services experience to Waystone, having held senior leadership positions with Apex Group, Deutsche Bank, and BNY Mellon.
Throughout his career, he has led fund administration, operations, and client servicing functions supporting asset managers and investment funds across multiple jurisdictions.
Commenting on his appointment, Harty says: “Luxembourg plays a central role in Waystone's European and global strategy. Our business has grown significantly in scale, capability, and strategic importance over recent years, and our leadership structure must continue to evolve alongside that growth.
“I would like to congratulate Alexandra, Alain and John on their appointments. Each brings considerable experience, leadership, and expertise to their respective roles, and these appointments reflect both the strength of our people and our commitment to building leadership capacity as our business continues to expand.
“Together, they position us strongly to support our clients, our people and our long-term growth ambitions across Continental Europe.”
