The Maples Group has expanded its fiduciary team in Luxembourg with two senior appointments of Aune Quénéhervé and Cosmin Emanuel Ion.
Aune Quénéhervé joins the firm as senior vice president, following the appointment of Cosmin Emanuel Ion as senior vice president earlier this year.
Quénéhervé brings over 20 years of experience in the financial services sector, expertise across audit, fund administration, financial service, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with ‘Big Four’ — Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG — audit and advisory experience.
Emanuel Ion is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), and brings more than 18 years’ international experience also across audit, fund administration, and financial services.
Emanuel Ion also has a ‘Big Four’ background, which includes exposure to Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR), capital market transactions, and complex financial reporting environments.
The firm reports that Quénéhervé and Emanuel Ion together will support a wide range of fund and corporate structures, bringing together their complimentary expertise across the financial services sector.
Speaking on the appointments, Jorge Perez, head of Fiduciary Services Luxembourg, says: “As clients continue to navigate an increasingly complex and uncertain environment, it is essential they have access to experienced professionals who can provide practical guidance across governance, accounting, and regulatory matters.”
Perez furthers: “Their combined expertise further strengthens our deep bench of senior talent and leaves us well positioned to continue supporting clients with the high standards of service and technical excellence they expect from the Maples Group.”
