Continuing its focus on expanding clients’ options for share-based incentive plans, Mandatum enters a new partnership with Norwegian Optio Incentives.

The firm explains Optio Incentives, headquartered in Norway, provides software and administration solutions for share-based and other incentive plans, as well as related financial reporting services.

Mandatum also says it will continue its partnership with Finnish Lago Kapital for the administration, valuation, and reporting services (IFRS 2) for share-based incentive plans.

Lago Kapital provides market access services related to stock exchange trading needed for effective management of incentive plans, says the firm.

Speaking on the established partnership of Mandatum and Lago Kapital, Jarkko Järvitalo, founding partner and CEO of Lago Kapital, says: “Our capabilities complement each other perfectly. Mandatum brings deep expertise in incentive plan design while we contribute our strength in plan administration and IFRS 2 valuation.”

Järvitalo continues: “Together, we offer a seamless, end-to-end solution, from the first design discussion all the way to the moment participants receive their rewards.”

Visa Myllyntaus, director of Mandatum Incentives, comments: “Long-term incentive plans have established their role as an integral part of compensation. Companies are now considering more carefully which models best support their strategic objectives and help align the interests of shareholders and key employees with long-term value creation.”

Myllyntaus furthers: “Administration services support this by providing an up-to-date view to the details of the plan.”

Kiisa Hulkko-Nyman, business director of Mandatum Incentives, adds: “Through our partnerships, our clients benefit from a wider range of high-quality solutions available on the market for plan administration.

“Increased competition gives companies more choice, accelerates the development of services and helps them find the solutions that best meet their individual needs.”
