Waystone appointed ACD for three new funds

Waystone has been selected by Brooks Macdonald, a UK-focused investment manager, as authorised corporate director (ACD) to three new funds being launched by the firm.
Waystone will also provide transfer agency to the three funds — global equity, global fixed income, and alternatives — which will form part of a new unitised ‘building block’ structure supporting Brooks Macdonald’s managed portfolio service (MPS).
The firms explain the new structure is designed to simplify and strengthen infrastructure underpinning Brooks Macdonald’s MPS, which gives the firm greater control over portfolio implementation and providing a scalable framework.
As ACD, Waystone will provide independent governance and regulatory oversight for the three funds.
Speaking on the appointment, Karl Midl, country head of UK at Waystone, comments: “The appointment reflects the strength and scale of our UK ACD and Transfer Agency business and our ability to support leading investment managers as they evolve their product structures and operating models.
“Our role is to provide the specialist governance, oversight, and infrastructure that allows managers to focus on their core strengths of managing investments, growing assets, and delivering strong outcomes for their clients.”
