State Street expands global markets team

State Street has expanded its global markets team with four new appointments.

Joe Martinez (pictured) and Sarah Kirschbaum have both been appointed portfolio solutions senior sales managers for North America.

In this role, Martinez and Kirschbaum will be responsible for institutional client sales across all portfolio solutions capabilities, including transition management, outsourced trading, currency management and exposure solutions.

Martinez previously served as senior transition strategist at Northern Trust’s company transition management group, where he was responsible for developing trading and risk mitigation strategies, as well as managing the implementation of institutional client asset restructures.

Before joining State Street, Kirschbaum held a variety of senior roles, most recently director and product specialist at BNY Mellon. Before this, she served as director, head of sales and relationship management for Americas transition management at Citi for more than 12 years.

State Street Global Markets has also appointed Eric Weiner as vice president of electronic equity sales, reporting to Samantha Lippitt, head of electronic equity sales within Global Markets.

Finally, Ariana Leong has been named vice president, electronic equity product specialist, reporting to Dan Duffy, managing director, and head of equity sales and trading for the Americas.
