Axiology, a digital asset financial infrastructure platform, has appointed two new non-executive board members — David Newns and Boris Battistini.

Newns brings over 25 years of experience in institutional electronic trading and regulated financial market infrastructure.

He previously served as CEO of SIX Digital Exchange and before that he was a senior managing director at State Street, where he ran their independent multi-asset class electronic trading platforms globally.

His track record spans the full journey from traditional institutional markets to the frontier of tokenised finance.

Battistini has also joined the board, having previously served as director at Metellus and brings private markets investment and strategic expertise to the role.

Commenting on the appointments, Marius Jurgilas, CEO of Axiology says: “David and Boris bring a level of experience that reinforces our ambition to build infrastructure that institutional markets can rely upon. Their collective experience speaks directly to what we are working to achieve and we look forward to harnessing their knowledge and experience moving forward.”

Jurigilas adds: “These appointments mark an important step for Axiology, not just in terms of the individuals joining us, but in what their decision to join demonstrates where we are headed as a business.

“David and Boris bring hard-won experience across traditional finance and digital asset infrastructure, and they share our aim that the industry is ready for a new standard of regulated, institutional-grade infrastructure.

“We are building something that the market needs, and with a board of this capability behind us, I am confident we have the leadership in place to deliver it. The first half of 2026 was a success for Axiology and we are pleased to continue with the same level of momentum in the H2 following these latest appointments.”
