Titanbay has appointed Ludovico Buffo to lead its wealth business in Italy.

He joins to build the firm's partnerships with Italian banks, wealth managers, and asset managers, and aims to give their clients access to private markets through infrastructure built for the job.

Buffo has worked with banks, wealth managers, and asset managers across Italy to bring private markets funds to their clients without the manual processes and operational risk.

Buffo brings expertise across both investments and technology.

He joins from MainStreet Partners, where he supported Italian banks and asset managers on ESG, data, and investments.

Before that he worked at Russell Investments across institutional business development and responsible investing.

He began his career on the trading floor at Crédit Agricole CIB.

Sheryl Needham, global head of Sales at Titanbay, says: “Italian wealth managers want private markets. The blocker has never been demand, it has been infrastructure. Ludovico understands both sides of that problem, the investment case, and the technology that makes it work. He is exactly the person to build our presence in Italy.”

Buffo adds: “Italian clients are ready for private markets, and their advisers know it. The question has always been how to offer them properly, at scale, and without the operational risk.

“That is what drew me to Titanbay. I am looking forward to giving Italian banks and wealth managers a genuinely better way to bring these funds to their clients.”
