WBS, a provider of trading, custody, and technology solutions, has announced a five-year extension of its partnership with Aviva to provide dealing and custody services for UK-listed equities and ETFs via its advised and direct platforms.

The firms have been working in partnership since 2011, and since 2017 on the advised elements of the Aviva platform.

In 2023, the firms also collaborated to deliver a new direct share dealing service for Aviva’s clients enabling them to invest into UK-listed equities and ETFs via a Stocks and Shares ISA, self-invested personal pension (SIPP), or General Investment Account.

Thomas Lowe, chief commercial officer at WBS, says: “We've been working alongside Aviva for over 15 years, so this extension feels like a natural next step — one that reflects the strength of our relationship.

“It is built on a long-term, mutual understanding of what advisers and platforms need from their technology infrastructure, and we are very pleased to have been chosen to deliver it.”

Mike Hogg, director of Platforms and Propositions at Aviva, adds: “WBS is a reliable long-term partner for Aviva, consistently delivering against our service expectations while supporting our plans to extend our propositions and price competitively.”
