Further Asset Management, an Abu Dhabi-based asset manager, has adopted Chainlink, the oracle platform.
This move aims to power tokenised asset compliance workflows in Anubis, Further’s new platform for machine readable regulations.
Initial deployment is focused on compliance within Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), the UAE capital’s international financial center with workflows designed to support compliance with applicable Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) requirements.
Anubis is Further’s contribution to the infrastructure needed to advance institutional tokenisation in the UAE backed by jurisdiction-specific compliance workflows.
The compliance engine is delivered via various methodologies, including Chainlink’s Automated Compliance Engine (ACE), which evaluates digital asset transactions and applies configured policies against ADGM-defined rules before execution.
This enables digital asset solutions powered by automated compliance controls that aim to comply with the transaction rules that are prescribed by ADGM and the FSRA.
Through Chainlink ACE, Anubis translates regulatory requirements into practical institutional controls governing who can hold and transact tokenised assets.
Initial compliance workflows will focus on supporting controls relevant to applicable FSRA requirements.
Further has selected Chainlink ACE to support consistent policy application, traceable compliance decisions, and flexible controls within Anubis as regulatory requirements and institutional needs evolve.
Further plans to extend Anubis to additional jurisdictions and counterparties, using ACE to enforce policies onchain.
Faisal Al Hammadi, managing partner at Further Asset Management, says: “Institutional tokenisation needs secure infrastructure that connects jurisdiction-specific regulatory requirements with how assets are held and transacted.
“We believe that Anubis will serve as a data layer that acts on top of oracles such as Chainlink to power compliance workflows in the UAE and beyond. Chainlink’s ACE enables us to create next generation policy engines that enable institutions to have greater control over how their tokenised assets move.”
Johann Eid, chief business officer, Chainlink Labs, adds: “Bringing the world's institutional assets onchain requires compliance that is enforced at every transaction and configurable as rules evolve.
“By adopting Chainlink ACE, Further enables institutions to verify every transaction against ADGM-defined rules before execution while allowing compliance teams to update those rules in real time without having to redeploy token contracts.
“This marks a major milestone in our work with UAE financial institutions to bring regulated assets onchain at scale, establishing the critical compliance infrastructure needed to accelerate institutional tokenisation and strengthen the UAE’s position as a global leader in digital asset innovation.”
