HSBC Corporate and Institutional Banking has appointed Swaminath Nagarajan as head of Securities Services, HSBC Australia and New Zealand.
Based in Sydney, Nagarajan brings more than 20 years of experience to his new role.
Previously, he spent four years at global investment manager New Forests as global head of data solutions.
Most notably, Nagarajan held an 11-year tenure with Citi, where he was most recently APAC head of data, investment analytics and ESG. He also worked within the firm’s prime finance, securities services, and fund accounting businesses.
Further, he took on analyst positions at BNY and J.P. Morgan at the earlier stages of his career.
HSBC says Nagarajan’s experience extends to their institutional clients as they “seek custody, fund administration, and issuer services for their businesses”.
