Fenergo, the provider of AI-powered solutions for client lifecycle management and financial crime operations, has announced that Ninety One, a global investment manager, has selected Fenergo's unified platform as a key component of its digital transformation programme.

Ninety One aims at investing in a modern operating model that simplifies client lifecycle management, strengthens financial crime controls, and delivers a more intelligent, client-centric experience across every stage of the customer journey.

Fenergo's unified AI-powered platform will enable Ninety One to bring together Know Your Customer (KYC) at both onboarding and periodic review, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), transaction monitoring, and intelligent automation within a single operating model supporting clients across South Africa, the UK, and Luxembourg.

By replacing fragmented processes and disconnected systems, Ninety One says that it will gain a unified view of client relationships, customer risk, and financial crime exposure.

The firm adds that the transformation will enable faster onboarding, improve operational efficiency, strengthen regulatory compliance, and deliver a more seamless experience for both clients and employees.

Cora Kielblock, head of Global Operations at Ninety One, says: “Delivering an exceptional client experience without compromising on compliance is central to our strategy.

“As we continue to transform our business, we wanted a platform that would unify client lifecycle management and financial crime operations while enabling us to take advantage of the latest advances in AI.

“Fenergo's industry expertise, continued innovation and long-term investment in its platform made it the right strategic partner to support our ambitions.”

Lekshmi Nair, chief revenue officer at Fenergo, adds: “Leading financial institutions are moving beyond point solutions towards unified platforms that connect client lifecycle management with financial crime operations.

“By bringing together onboarding, KYC, transaction monitoring and AI-powered automation, organisations can improve client experience, strengthen compliance, and operate more efficiently. We're proud to partner with Ninety One as it builds a modern operating model to support its continued global growth.”
