ACI Worldwide, a payments technology company, has partnered with Circle to integrate stablecoin settlement into existing banking and payment infrastructure.

ACI Connetic, the firm’s cloud-native payments orchestration platform, and Circle’s infrastructure for its US dollar-backed stablecoin USDC will combine to incorporate stablecoin settlement into payment operations.

The implementation will initially centre on Colombia, where ACI developed the infrastructure behind the company’s interoperable payments ecosystem, Bre-B, to explore the continued modernisation of the nation’s payments landscape.

Commenting on the partnership, Craig Ramsey, global head of account-to-account payments at ACI Worldwide, says: “Financial institutions want to understand how digital asset settlement can fit into the infrastructure and operating models they already trust.

“Through ACI Connetic, we're demonstrating a practical approach to integrating regulated stablecoins into existing payment workflows.”

Circle chief commercial officer Kash Razzaghi adds: “By working with ACI Worldwide, we’re creating a practical path for institutions to explore how USDC can fit into established payment environments, helping bridge traditional financial infrastructure with the growing digital economy.”
