FinScan, a systems solution and provider of advanced anti-money laundering (AML) and sanctions compliance solutions, has announced a partnership with Quantifind, a provider of AI-powered financial crime and national security risk intelligence for know your customer (KYC), sanctions, payments, investigations, and third-party risk detection.
The integration brings AI-powered adverse media screening directly into the FinScan platform and aims at helping organisations identify financial crime risks in global news long before an entity appears on a watchlist.
FinScan operationalises Quantifind’s adverse media intelligence by embedding it directly into existing sanctions, politically exposed person (PEP), and watchlist workflows, giving compliance teams a unified view into all screening activity.
Its precision matching, data quality technology, and advanced alert suppression capabilities actively minimise duplicate and low-value alerts while tying adverse media findings directly to overall customer risk, suggests the firm.
Powered by purpose-built language models, AI-driven entity resolution, and dynamic risk typologies, Graphyte evaluates multilingual content seamlessly while keeping customer data strictly within the organisation's own jurisdiction.
Deborah Overdeput, chief operating officer, FinScan, says: “Regulators increasingly expect AML programmes to demonstrate effectiveness, not simply the existence of controls. Adverse media has become one of the hardest areas to get right because the volume is enormous and much of it is noise.
“Compliance teams can spend countless hours reviewing alerts while still missing the customer who was never on a watchlist. Graphyte helps identify what matters, while FinScan provides the data quality, precision matching, and workflow to turn those insights into action."
Graham Bailey, chief operating officer of Quantifind, adds: “Modern compliance programs need adverse media intelligence that is accurate, explainable, and fast enough to support confident decision-making. Graphyte was built to resolve entities and assess risk across vast volumes of public data with the transparency regulated organisations require.
“Partnering with FinScan enables compliance teams to incorporate that intelligence directly into their existing screening workflows, helping analysts make faster, more informed decisions.”
