Krypton Fund Services has appointed Liam McHugh as global head of business development and David Barry as global head of operations.

In his new role, the firm says McHugh will lead its global revenue growth strategy, deepen relationships with existing clients, partner with new managers and general partners, and further refine sales and business development approaches.

McHugh joins Krypton Fund Services from CSC, where he served as managing director of European fund administration for almost seven years after first leading the APAC business, says the firm.

He also previously served as APAC regional head of operations at Apex Fund Services, following its 2017 acquisition of Equinoxe.

McHugh joined Equinoxe in 2008, starting as group manager and finishing as APAC regional CEO.

Barry also joins from CSC where he served as head of operations for almost seven years, and prior to that he was managing director at Apex Fund Services for over a decade based in Ireland.

Additionally Barry was the associate director and group manager for Equinoxe for almost nine years in Dublin.

In his new role, the firm says Barry will lead global operations across the platform, ensuring clients continue to receive a service-focused experience.

Speaking on the appointments, Roderick White, CEO of Krypton Fund Services, says: “With the addition of Liam and his colleague David Barry our new Global Head of Operations, we have significantly strengthened our senior leadership team

“Liam will play an instrumental role in executing Krypton’s ambitious five-year growth strategy, particularly as we expand our global presence and deepen client relationships.”

McHugh adds: “It is a real pleasure to be reunited with so many former Equinoxe colleagues, and to be making the move alongside David Barry, with whom I have worked closely with for many years.

“Our shared history with CEO and founder Rod White and the broader Krypton leadership team gives us a strong foundation as we deliver on the firm’s five-year growth strategy and grow our international footprint.”

Barry comments: “I am very pleased to be joining Krypton Fund Services as Global Head of Operations, and to be working once again with Rod White, Liam McHugh and so many familiar faces from our time at Equinoxe.

“Krypton has built an excellent reputation for service quality, and my priority will be to ensure our operating model scales with the business as we execute our five-year growth strategy.”
