ActiveViam has extended its collaboration with Databricks to deliver validated, real-time risk analytics built directly on the Databricks Data + AI platform, aiming to help financial institutions build and deploy AI agents grounded in governed enterprise data and trusted risk calculations.

Atoti Intelligence, the platform's agentic AI architecture, exposes deterministic risk tools, including VaR, ES, FRTB, xVA, and LCR/NSFR, that the institutions’ agents can call directly for validated risk calculations, rather than generating SQL or code against raw tables.

This integration complements ActiveViam's existing DirectQuery support for Databricks, which already gives clients a live connection to query governed Databricks data directly.

The platform’s each calculation runs inside the customer's own environment and under their existing Databricks governance, lineage, and access controls, using the customer's own approved large language model,, so data and intellectual property never leave the platform.

By connecting AI agents to trusted risk calculations and governed enterprise data, the integration helps financial institutions move from AI experimentation to reliable, production-ready agentic AI workflows.

For existing ActiveViam customers, they can now consolidate onto Databricks without rebuilding risk.

For existing Databricks customers, they can add enterprise-grade capital-markets risk analytics to the lakehouse without building it in-house, and without moving data off the platform.

Alan Lee, chief product officer at ActiveViam, says: “Databricks gives banks one governed home for their data, while Atoti turns it into risk intelligence they can trust and sign off on, without copying data out.

“The result is the same number every time, traceable to the trade and precise enough to sign off. Everything runs inside the firm’s own environment and under its existing Databricks governance, so its data and IP never leave.

“We are proud of this integration with the Databricks Data + AI Platform and look forward to seeing our clients take full advantage of this new capability.”
