Apex Group, Chainlink, T-REX Network, and the ERC-3643 Association have implemented a modular compliance framework for onchain bonds, aligned with Swift standards.
The framework demonstrates how established financial market standards can be combined with programmable compliance and interoperable blockchain infrastructure, says the firms.
As part of the initiative, Swift has joined the ERC-3643 Association.
The firms say that by aligning the ERC-3643 standard with Swift standards, the initiative gives financial institutions a common compliance framework and greater clarity on tokenisation compliance.
Additionally, compliance requirements, including identity, investor eligibility, and transfer rules, can be implemented once and reused across different blockchain networks, enabling institutions to distribute tokenised assets to investor networks across blockchain ecosystems and investors to access the assets through preferred networks without requiring the compliance framework to be rebuilt for each environment.
Apex Group provides regulated asset servicing and operational environment, having worked with Swift to apply the standards.
Chainlink provides the infrastructure supporting secure cross-chain transfers of ERC-3643 tokens through the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), compliance enforcement through the Automated Compliance Engine (ACE), and pricing data from Data Streams.
T-REX Network provides the infrastructure through which the assets can be deployed.
The ERC-3643 Association proves the open ERC-3643 compliance framework, enabling identity, eligibility, and transfer requirements to be implemented as modular compliance rules at the asset level.
Swift standards provide the market-alignment layer, helping to ensure the representation of assets onchain remains consistent with established financial market practices.
Peter Hughes, founder and CEO of Apex Group, comments: “Tokenisation will only scale if institutions can use it without having to recreate the foundations of regulated markets on every new network.
“This initiative demonstrates a practical route forward, combining established financial market standards with programmable compliance and interoperable infrastructure. Together, these elements can provide the foundations needed to move tokenised assets from experimentation towards broader institutional adoption.”
