Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) has launched Braid, the firm’s new technology affiliate which offers an AI-native data transformation platform that gives firms a scale solution to transform, connect, and manage their data.
The firm explains Braid allows business users to utilise AI agents to build intelligent data transformations that are transparent and fully auditable — instead of requiring engineers to build data automations — which then, through Braid’s enterprise-grade engine, processes and delivers the data transformations in a controlled environment.
Joshua Fine, CEO of Braid, says: “For too long, data transformation and interoperability have suffered from a lack of capable enterprise solutions. As a result, organisations have been forced to tolerate a fragmented web of bespoke integrations, manual processes, poor change control, and a patchwork of tools.”
Fine adds: “By combining AI with enterprise-grade controls, Braid empowers teams to build, automate, and oversee production-grade data transformations in hours rather than months.”
According to the firm, Braid is designed to deliver substantial ROI for clients by providing controlled access to the agentic AI-powered automation platform, a centralised oversight dashboard, and custom, scalable data transformations.
A 2025 pilot conducted with BBH Investor Services, saw Braid deliver as high as 98 per cent efficiency gains across three use cases saving hundreds of hours of effort, suggests the firm.
